Popular Valley BBQ Brand Expands to Peoria with New Smokehouse

Caldwell County BBQ, a beloved name in Scottsdale, Arizona's barbecue scene, is set to open its third location in downtown Peoria on Thursday, February 5.

 

Known for its authentic Texas-style barbecue, the restaurant has been a staple in the East Valley since its inception in 2018.

 

The new 4,800-square-foot smokehouse, located at 8315 W. Washington Street, features a 1,200-square-foot patio designed for outdoor dining.

 

Guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor bars equipped with TVs, and a private dining room accommodating up to 34 guests.

 

To celebrate the grand opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., with Peoria Mayor Jason Beck in attendance.

 

Following the ceremony, doors will open to the public at 11 a.m.

 

In the evening, from 5 to 9 p.m., the restaurant will host an after-party featuring live music, inflatables for kids, and various yard games on the expansive patio.

 

Owner Travis Taylor expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, "We're thrilled to bring Caldwell County BBQ to Peoria and share our passion for authentic barbecue."

 

He added, "From the welcoming atmosphere to the slow-cooked meats, our goal is to make Caldwell County BBQ a destination for great food and memorable experiences here in Scottsdale, West Valley."

 

The Peoria location will serve Caldwell County BBQ's signature menu, including 12-hour slow-smoked brisket, St. Louis-cut ribs, pulled pork, jalapeño cheddar sausage, and smoked turkey.

 

Scratch-made sides such as Aunt Susan's Corn Casserole, Lala's Pinto Beans, and Julio's Mac and Cheese will also be available.

 

Mayor Beck highlighted the significance of this opening, noting, "This grand opening kicks off the revitalization of downtown and displays the importance of attracting businesses that invest in our community, create jobs, and attract new visitors."

 

He continued, "I am thrilled to see this vision finally coming to life and to watch Downtown Peoria continue to grow as an important destination within our city."

 

Since opening its first location in Gilbert in 2018, Caldwell County BBQ has expanded to Queen Creek and has been recognized among Phoenix's top barbecue spots.

 

The Peoria smokehouse marks the brand's first venture into the West Valley, with plans for a fourth location in Scottsdale slated to open later this year.
